\n\t\t\t\t\tLiptovsk\u00fd hrad a Kalameny (Liptov Castle and Kalamens)<\/strong>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t[vc_column_text text_larger=”no”]Liptovsk\u00fd hrad (other names:\u00a0Sielnick\u00fd hrad,\u00a0Liptovsk\u00fd Star\u00fd hrad) is a ruin of a castle in\u00a0Liptov<\/a>, near the borders of the districts of\u00a0Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Ru\u017eomberok<\/a>. Located in the district of\u00a0Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161<\/a>, about 220 m. from borders in\u00a0cadastral area of<\/a>\u00a0Sestr\u010d, which is part of the village\u00a0Liptovsk\u00e1 Sielnica<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The remains of the former castle stand on the hill\u00a0Sestr\u010d<\/a>\u00a0(999.9 m above sea level) in\u00a0Cho\u010dske vrchy<\/a>, they rise above the villages\u00a0Kalameny<\/a>\u00a0and Bukovina<\/a>. It was the highest perched castle in Slovakia and also one of the highest perched in Central Europe.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\u010cere\u0148ov\u00e1 skala (\u010cere\u0148ov\u00e1 rock)<\/strong>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t[vc_column_text text_larger=”no”]\u010cerenov\u00e1 skala is located in Cho\u010dsk\u00e9 vrchy above Liptovsk\u00e1 Anna<\/strong>. It is not a very distinctive hill, but at the top there is a rocky plateau, from which you will have an impressive view of the Liptovsk\u00e1 Mara dam and N\u00edzke Tatry (Low Tatras.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The hike begins in the village on the square or at the end of the village at the mouth of the valley,<\/strong> where the forest road begins. After about 100 m, take the road on the right. Take a short walk along the road – a few 100 m and then turn left onto the trail. It is well visible and is marked with an arrow and a red tourist sign<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The ascent takes about 45 minutes and is not difficult<\/strong> – you can handle it even with small children. These are typical in that, they do not form a ridge, but individual massifs that are intersected by deep canyon valleys.<\/p>\n

Ve\u013ek\u00fd Cho\u010d is considered to be one of the most beautiful hills in Slovakia. It is characterized by the presence of rare flora and a valuable representation of rare animals. It is also known for its beautiful views from the top. Historically, Ve\u013ek\u00fd Cho\u010d used to be an important landmark on the trade route connecting the Danube region with the Baltics.<\/p>\n

Currently, Ve\u013ek\u00fd Cho\u010d is a popular tourist destination. It is an ideal place for doing shorter and moderately demanding tours, as well as long and more exposed ones.<\/p>\n

It is located 2 km northwest of the center of\u00a0Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161<\/a>\u00a0in<\/p>\n

borough\u00a0R\u00e1ztoky<\/a>, on the northern bank of the\u00a0Liptovsk\u00e1 Mara<\/a> reservoir. The source of thermal water is a borehole, from which water flows to the surface from a depth of more than 2,500 m with a temperature of 60.7 \u00b0 C.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\tArcheoskanzen Havr\u00e1nok<\/strong>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t[vc_column_text text_larger=”no”]Havr\u00e1nok is an archeological site above the\u00a0Liptovsk\u00e1 Mara<\/a>\u00a0dam and a museum in nature. It is located in the cadastral area of\u00a0Liptovsk\u00e1 Sielnica<\/a>, 2 km south of\u00a0Bobrovn\u00edk<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161 district<\/a>. It lies at the eastern foot of the \u00dalo\u017eisko<\/a>\u00a0hill (741.7 m above sea level).<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Celtic<\/a>\u00a0fortifications of\u00a0the Kotin settlement<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0a Druid<\/a>\u00a0shrine from\u00a0the 1st century BC<\/a> were discovered here.\u00a0A sacrificial shaft with an altar and alms sacrifices, stone paths with a colonnade, as well as Celtic imitations of ancient coins were discovered. In the\u00a012th<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a015th centuries<\/a>\u00a0there was\u00a0a Slavic<\/a>\u00a0settlement, there was a medieval landed wooden\u00a0castle<\/a>, fortified with palisades with a moat and a residential tower. In the later period, a brick church was built. Havr\u00e1nok is a settlement from the\u00a0La T\u00e8ne<\/a>\u00a0((P\u00fachov culture)<\/a>) period and from the High\u00a0Middle Ages<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is a part of the\u00a0V\u00e1\u017esk\u00e1 kask\u00e1da (V\u00e1h cascade<\/a>) <\/u>dam system.<\/p>\n

During the construction, 13\u00a0villages<\/a>, were flooded, of which 12 were completely (\u010cemice<\/a>, Dem\u010d\u00edn ,\u00a0Liptovsk\u00e1 Mara<\/a>,\u00a0Liptovsk\u00e1 Sielnica<\/a>\u00a0(the former one),\u00a0Ni\u017en\u00e9 Decht\u00e1re<\/a>,\u00a0Paludza<\/a>,\u00a0Par\u00ed\u017eovce<\/a>,\u00a0R\u00e1ztoky<\/a>,\u00a0Sestr\u010d<\/a>,\u00a0Sokol\u010de<\/a>,\u00a0Vrbie<\/a>,\u00a0Vy\u0161n\u00e9 Decht\u00e1re<\/a>),\u00a0Liptovsk\u00fd Trnovec<\/a>\u00a0Bukovina<\/a>.
