Walk from Ižipovce to Liptovská Anna

You don’t even have to start the car, we invite you to a beautiful walk to Liptovská Anna directly from the Severanka cottage. You will also experience a bit of romance at the ruins of St. Anne’s Church. It is about 2 km to Liptovská Anna and the journey along a pleasant path will take you there and back in about 2 hours.

You set off on a dirt road directly opposite Severanka, in front of you, you see a popular tourist destination, the Čereňová rock. (You can also choose an asphalt road on the right and go around the fields.) In addition to the field, the field path connects to the asphalt road, and when you look back into the village, you will have a beautiful view of the Liptovska Mara and the entire Nízke Tatry (The Low Tatras) mountains.

After a few meters of walking along the road, there is an entrance to the hiking trail on the Čereňová rock on the right. Of course, you can also climb the Čereňová rock, which the locals also call Jánošík’s table. The way up is a bit steeper about 20-30 minutes, but the views are charming. The ascent itself is possible from Liptovská Anna.

If you just want a pleasant, easy walk, take the dirt road to the right to the village of Liptovská Anna. The dirt road will take you to the end of the village, where you will be enchanted by the wooden bell tower and the ruins of St. Anne’s Church. This one burned down in 1805, but the magical atmosphere of the ruins will surely appeal to you.

The oldest written reference of the village is from 1325 and in the 13th century, together with Bukovina, they formed the settlement of Podhradie. Behind the Pravnáč hill lies the ruins of Liptov Castle.

You can also go back along the main road through Bukovina and then to Ižipovce, or enjoy the beautiful views along the same return road.

Severanka is definitely waiting for you with warm tea.
